Polar’s meticulous approach to site planning, combined with an ability to revise schedules at short notice to allow for delays by other contractors on site, or to help change specification without lowering quality due to unforeseen site circumstances (common with refurbishments of unique older buildings) is a valuable asset to those the company works alongside and for.
Bridlington Spa is just one example of a refurbishment leisure project Polar has successfully worked on. This development, just 12 feet from breaking seas, won Visitor Destination of the Year in the 2007 White Rose Awards, just after the extensive and complex refurbishment, including curtain wall windows and aerofoil capping by Polar.
Another excellent example is a multi-use new build project in Seaham, where Polar has completed the installation of almost 1000 sq metres of glazing and curtain walling, along with tilt-turn and pivot windows and automated and special access doors.
