Manufacturing Architectural Aluminium & PVC Products

The success of Polar is founded on our commitment to ongoing improvements in the production process.

Polar’s policy of employing dynamic, well qualified people across all disciplines means the company has built-in flexibility as well as the capability to work smarter and harder.

Some of the recent developments in manufacturing improvement include linking PVC and aluminium manufacturing processes more closely and encouraging multi-skilling on a project-by-project basis. Although 80% of our work is in aluminium our workforce is able to combine skills and work with aluminium or PVC as the project requires, and then return to normal specialisations on project completion. Many projects involve working with aluminium and PVC so this flexibility has many benefits; jobs are better coordinated, completed to higher quality by experienced staff and finished at higher speed.

The coordination of major projects has also been developed so that the completion of windows, doors and associated items all happen simultaneously, ready for on-time dispatch and installation. So even when we are working on projects at a considerable geographic distance from our production location we can be sure of completing major projects on time.
