Polar is fully committed to the health and safety of its workforce, contract workers and customers, and the company employs an external advisor on health and safety matters. More than 10% of the Polar workforce has successfully participated in health and safety in-house intensive training courses.
In addition, all products supplied by Polar conform to current Health and Safety regulations, which is of particular importance when selecting items such as glazing in high-traffic areas or patio door glass.
Polar is CHAS accredited, which demonstrates compliance with health & safety legislation and the management of health & safety issues, when tendering for National Health Service, local authority, education sector and Housing Association projects.
Since achieving ISO 9001 accreditation, Polar has been working towards ISO 14001 along with OHSAS 18001, the Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Scheme.
